Oh i'm having so much fun with the cuteness of a new baby. I've propped Ethan up on every feasible surface in our house for photos and i manage to get a smile before the cries break out!ok....so i have an announcement to make....(drum roll)....
i have officially lost all of my baby weight!!!! Yea!!! I am now back at the size i was before baby. (breastfeeding rocks). (or it could be the calories i'm burning during the incessant rocking i have to do to get him to take a nap). I'm not sure if you understand just how good it feels to put normal clothes on after 9 months. like your normal clothes that you used to wear and like. yea....i can finally put them on. it feels so good to put my jeans on again and still be able to breath and not have muffin top happening.
one thing that i'm sure i will carry with me from my pregnancy, is my body pillow. (thank you PT girls)! shaphan would like to burn it as he thinks it's taken the place of him. he has asked me repeatedly to part with it - but i just cant. he even had the audacity to hide it once thinking that i would not miss it. how wrong he was. he has attempted to bribe me into giving it up. that did not work.
how shocked i was when i came home from working a night shift to find him hugging the very body pillow he claims to resent. perhaps i've converted him into a believer. or more likely he was just sad and lonely. good thing cuz i don't think there's room enough in our bed for the two of us and our two body pillows. :) 
Here is little ethan - tired after posing for an hour - and he still manages to pull of this totally cute face.
not seen are the gallons of drool i have to clean up in order for the photo to be acceptable.
ethan is staring at me typing and i'm sure would like to type something himself.

and of course i could not resist another photo of him in his UMD Bulldogs hat. so cute.
did i also mention that it IS possible to forget your ABC's? whilst i was giving my son a bath the other night i started singing the ABC's to him for the first time. I got to TUV......and forgot what comes next!!!!
well, when you don't sing the song for a million years one forgets. yes....even the ABC's.
EMBARRASING! thank goodness he wont' remember.
well, it's like 9 degrees here today and we are sitting by the woodstove.
i'm preparing for our Turkey dinner on Saturday for the pioneers. some of the older ones LOVE McDonalds and go there a few times a week for break, so i'm making the Golden arches and a McDonald sign to post outside our house that says "welcome pioneers. Free coffee inside."
They should get a kick out of it!
