and fun was had by all...

well lovlies....laura's wedding was momentous....even my mom had a blast which definitely says something.

my vacation home was absolutely great. i took shaphan to his first ever hockey game which he absolutely loved. i, personally, had fun being able to scream at the top of my lungs. (yea, never get to do that anymore). britta and i got our picture taken with the UMD Bulldogs mascott - Champ. frankly, the whole identity of Champ is a somewhat of a mystery and inspires some curiosity. we all speculated about who exactly is under that big dog costume - a student perhaps? an old man? a teacher? the janitor!?? well people, after britta and i put our arms around him for a photo i can definitely tell you that an old man he is not. the dog's got some pipes! perhaps he's a hockey player that was sidelined for the week for bad behaviour?? and is now being taught a lesson by having to wear the big dog costume. hm. well, i guess Champ's identity will just have to remain a mystery.

and to top the night off, penny gave me the guts to go scream down by the ice to win a T-shirt from Champ. (he throws t-shirts to the crowd during half-time - but you have to make a lot of noise to get his attention!!) the night just couldn't have gotten better....well, i guess it could have...if they would've actually won the hockey game. :(
