shaphan and i just watched an enchanting story about a little 5 year old girl who has become quite the artist. i've totally fallen in love with this little girl and her imagination that lives through her paintins. she began painting along side her father at age 2 and by age 4 her paintings were good enough to start selling.
20/20 did a piece on her basically implying that her father was the one doing the paintings, and so it happened that people stopped buying her paintings thinking her father was a fraud.
the only way to disprove this theory and put to rest the doubts of everyone in the art world was to video tape little marla actually creating a painting....and so her father did. it's called 'Ocean.'
now, little marla continues to paint and her paintings are selling for an average of $25,000 a piece. her parents are putting all the money from her paintings into the bank for her when she gets older. this little girl is amazing, check out her paintings at their website:
