the id

i had the weirdest dream last night. there's a little real life background to this dream however. let me fill you in. i am often in my room during the day, coming in and out, because i work off-shifts and have some of the day off. this can be an irritating thing to the housekeepers because they have to work around my crazy schedule. hasn't been a problem for the most part because they understand. however, some time ago i think i might've really irritated one of the fill-in housekeepers because i felt some 'tension' and thought i sensed a few glares. anyway, i was like 'whatever.' this was months ago. but i've always remembered this housekeeper, not in a bad way, but i just remember her. well, the other night she -- out of no where -- showed up in my dream! i drempt that the brothers found out she was hiring illegal Mexican immigrants to do her housekeeping for her. she had been sneaking them into Bethel, making them clean her rooms and paying them on the side. she was found out and was getting in trouble.

so what does this mean, i ask myself??

though i'm treating it as if it were no big deal, have i deep inside been harboring ill will toward this sister for the perceived glares?? and now when i dream about her, it's about her getting in trouble? i've shocked myself. but i'm not giving it a lot of attention. who knows why we dream the things we do. in the end, the whole dream was so wild it just made me laugh. and i think i might just tell her about what i drempt. perhaps she'll get a good laugh out of it too. then again, perhaps not.

this morning i started the dialysis treatment at around 7 a.m, just when morning worship was starting. i quickly became absorbed with the subject matter. the chairman was discussing the importance of maintaining our spiritual appetite and not filling up on 'junk food' such as too much T.V and such so that it crowds out room for a good meal of spiritual food. it was sooo good, then all of a sudden the fire alarm went off and the fire lights in the hallways started flickering just like strobe lights. i ran out into the hallway to see if the problem was from our floor and there was nothing apparent. we all just stayed where we were, watching the chairman on the TV monitor for further direction, although he was just staring off wondering himself what was about to happen. then we heard over the loudspeaker that the alarm was false and it was taken care of. i went back into the dialysis treatment room and my patient got a big smile on his face and said, 'that was some good excitement for the morning.'

well, Gilead Grad was this past weekend, as well as the US Open. yes, i'm putting those two things in the same sentece as if they held the same amount of importance. both were quite enjoyable. we attended Gilead Grad at Patterson and saw it live this year. Gilead was absolutely on the bottom of all goals i wanted to acheive in life, yet each year that passes, i grow more and more fond of the thought. hm.

and, Roger Federer, you are like, the best. and to Djokovic, nice going on winning the tray. they really need to come up with better souvenirs for second place.
