so we got back from Illinois and were back to work on Tuesday and my girlfriend told me that there was a wicked cheap deal out of New York to Rome, Italy on United airlines. the base fare was $139! (+ tzx)!!!!!! we would have been CRAZY not to take advantage of it. i called shaphan and told him about it, and he was like, 'lets do it!' so i went to his office and we bought the tickets right there and then!
i can't believe i'm going to italy! i feel so spontaneous!
at first i was a little concerned about the details, but we decided it'll work itself out. at least the Branch is in Rome so we have a place to stay.
and it's our anniversary on the 29th so it comes at a good time. :)
we are going at the end of april for 8 days, but don't want to spend too much time traveling around. we'd rather visit only 2 cities. we're thinking rome and maybe florence? i'm not sure what other city would be best. and i know there is SO much to see, but just not sure where to start.
anyone have any suggestions?
